Marlow residents don't have to miss out on reading the top book selections just because of the inflated economy. Garland Smith Public Library has the best selection of holiday and winter reading and all you need is a library card. Return your books on time and in the condition you borrowed them and you will be able to read as many as you would like. Additionally, the library has one of the most extensive movie collections available.

Library Director Tina Bennett and Children's Librarian Lacy Burch compiled the top 5 list in the popular categories to help you with your reading needs. The staff also maintained a busy activity schedule during December.

Free lunches are being offered for all children under age 18, Thursday, Friday, and also Dec. 27, 28 and 29. The program started Wednesday. There will be a 10 a.m. story time Saturday, and the library will be closed Monday, Christmas Day and Tuesday, Dec. 26.
