‘Helping Us, Help Others’

Marlow volunteers showed up Saturday for the annual Samaritans Christmas food drive. They included students, retirees, business owners and in general, people who just wanted to help and be a part of the community’s giving spirit. The event was coordinated and held at Marlow First, Life Center. Financial and non-perishable donations have been streaming into the Samaritans for a few weeks to help make this holiday a little easier on 244 Marlow families. Photos submitted by Cricket Holland

Generous Gifts Marlow Elementary School’s annual Samaritan Food Drive resulted in $1,900, and 5,884 nonperishable items collected, said Principal Kim Kizarr. The collection package is donated to the Marlow Samaritans, and is an annual tradition at the school. Mrs. Dittner’s 5th grade class were the overall winners and their prize is a pizza party.
