Gwyned had to start work at a young age to support his mother and siblings. He owned and operated a heat and air company, and proudly serviced numerous churches across Oklahoma, as well as residential customers.

He enjoyed playing the electric guitar in church in Marlow, Oklahoma. He was a Christian from an early age, and he loved sharing his faith with everyone he met. He had received many miracles in his lifetime, and he had a lot of faith that God would always see him through the bleakest situations. He told everyone to, "stay paid up and prayed up!".

When he lived in Alaska, he liked to hunt, he liked to tell his stories of shooting a grizzly bear, a black bear, and a moose. He won awards, in Alaska, for driving trucks around slick mountain roads. He had a great safety record. He said some of the conditions were so bad, the visibility was nearly impossible with white-outs and 70 below zero temperatures. He enjoyed traveling with his family and took them all across the U.S. on adventurous summer vacations. His friends called him "Phil", and he could play a mean game of dominoes and also enjoyed playing bingo, he usually won blackouts.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Morgan, parents, and nine siblings.
