Bobby Joe Gray

Bobby Joe Gray, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 in Marlow, at the age of 90.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, November 26, 2018, at the First Baptist Church, with Dr. Joe Ligon officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Stephens County Honor Guard.

All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Joe was born Thursday, January 19, 1928 in Comanche, to Fait and Claude (Eaves) Gray. He graduated from Marlow High School and lived in the Stephens County area most of his life except when he lived in Africa for 9 years.

Joe married the love of his life, Mary Ruelene Gray in Marlow on June 17, 1955. They had 58 wonderful years together before Ruelene's passing on April 25, 2014.

Joe served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He worked for Halliburton for over 38 years as a supervisor. Joe was a meticulous man that loved to have all his affairs in order.

He enjoyed quail hunting and fishing. Joe was a family man that loved history and to travel all over the world. Joe was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marlow. 

Survivors include, son, Blake Gray of Marlow as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his wife, Joe was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, Sue Gray, Frances Clap, Merl Gray, and 2 brothers, Dan Gray, Oneo Gray.

Pallbearers will be: Press Mahaffey, Ken Layne, Ron Maxfield, Wakley Bergner, Jeremy Witt, Steve Clap, and Alan Clap.
