Wondering why there’s an increase in traffic this week? It’s the annual National Swine Registry Fall Classic show at the Stephens County Fair & Expo Center in Duncan. All those pickups and livestock trailers are gathering at the fairgrounds for one of the biggest events in the county.

The hog show and sale began Wednesday and continues through Saturday, Oct. 22. Historically, the show has attracted around 10,000 people to the area. Anyone can attend the event and there’s plenty of “outside” sales conducted over at the Claude Gill Arena. To learn more, visit the NSR website (nationalswine.com) where a full list of schedules and entrants are listed. NSR represents 87 percent of the purebred hog population in the United States.
