Michael Wallace Carnell (1957-2022) Marlow, OK
Michael Wallace Carnell was born in Marlow, Oklahoma, on Tuesday April 9, 1957 to Rosetta (Rosie) and Jerry Carnell.
He died Monday, Nov. 28, 2022 at the age of 65 years 7 months and 21 days. He graduated from Marlow High School in 1975.
He and his wife, Brenda K. (Clifton) daughter of Bill and the late Dorothy Clifton, moved to Tennessee in 1986. He worked for Grace Oil Company then Maytag Manufacturing and Toyota Manufacturing until he had to retire due to bad health.
In addition to his parents, Jerry and Rosetta Carnell, Mike is survived by his wife of 46 years, Brenda Carnell of Jackson, Tennessee; son, Dustin Carnell and his wife April of Jackson, TN; and three daughters, Chastity Reeves and her husband James of Henderson, TN, Faith Cerrillo and her husband Jose of Albertville, Alabama and Madison Carnell of Jackson, TN.
Other survivors include one brother, Jerry Wayne (Buddy) Carnell and his wife Kathy of Duncan, OK; sisters, Pamela Cannaday and her husband Kevin of Burlington, Texas and Kimberely Jordan and her husband Tommy of Rush Springs, OK, sister-in-law Debbie Archer and husband Steve of Marlow; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John Steven Carnell, grandparents, John Otis Carnell and wife Alene, Beulah and husband James Hannis, Hubart A. and Lois E. Smith, and mother-in-law, Dorothy Clifton.
There will be a viewing service in Jackson, TN, before bringing his ashes to Marlow for burial. A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Marlow, on Dec. 12, 2022. Pastor Elwin Rogers and Steve Archer spoke words of comfort and encouragement to the family and friends.
