The Central High Lady Bronchos Softball team will be competing in the OSSAA state playoffs this week. They hold a 20-10 record for the season. The two wins were Keota 7-5, and Arapaho-Butler 3-2. Team members are Memre Robbins, Kenzie Bonotto, Lacey Hansen-Beck, Carson Ketner, Rashel Johnson, Andi Standridge, Daylin Keyser, Aby Woods, Kiersten Woods, KK Delaney, Allie Hale, Jaylin Johnson, Payton Perry, Ruthie Hargrove, and their coaches are Coach Chad Weldon and assistant coach Chasity Weldon. In 2018, the school’s girls’ softball team made it to state semi-finals.

A send-off ceremony is set for 7 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, for the Central High Lady Bronchos Slow Pitch Softball team as they head to compete in the state playoffs. They are scheduled to play at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex. They will be escorted through the county by the Stephens County Sheriff’s Department and will leave from the school grounds, travel south on 7 Mile Rd. to SH-7, then east on SH-7 to the Lawton/Duncan Y, and then north on US-81 through Marlow. Fans can show their support either from the departure zone, or along the roads as long as no transportation rules are violated. The spirit bus will depart from the school at 7:45 a.m.
